Underdog Fantasy MLB Daily Pick’em Plays – October 3
October is here. The playoffs are here. The best sports time of the year is here. If you aren’t familiar with playoff baseball, buckle up. Every pitch and every at-bat is important and can change the course of baseball history. There’s just one game today, so let’s lock in for Mets vs. Brewers!
Jackson Chourio Higher Than 7.0 Fantasy Points
What a rookie season it was for the 20-year-old Jackson Chourio, and he’s continuing his success in the postseason. Four hits, two homers, and three RBIs in his first two career playoff games. It’s clear the moment has not been too big for him. Very impressive stuff. I think it would be silly not to take him here in a winner-take-all Game 3.
Chourio was 3-5 with a .329 xBA against Mets’ starter Jose Quintana this season. Quintana had his rough stretches throughout the season but settled in down the stretch. I think this game will end up being high-scoring, and the Fantasy Points angle allows us to capitalize on stolen bases and runs scored.
Francisco Lindor Higher Than 7.5 Fantasy Points
I know Lindor is banged up and self-admittedly “exhausted”, but I think he rises to the occasion in the biggest game of the Mets’ season thus far. We all saw what Lindor did on Monday in Atlanta, single-handedly carrying the Mets into the playoffs. Outside of Aaron Judge, Lindor was the hottest hitter in baseball in the second half of the season.
With Alonso and Martinez struggling, the Mets will need Lindor to come up clutch in a make-or-break Game 3!
