Week 4 College Football Picks
Tennessee -7 at Oklahoma (56.5)
It is time; the Sooners are now an SEC program, and they will get a chance to take on a scorchingly hot Tennessee team. Oklahoma has looked hit or miss thus far. They surely have not peaked yet. On the other hand, Tennessee has looked like one of the best teams in the country. When you play Chattanooga, NC State, and Kent State… you should look like one of the best teams in the country.
20-year-old quarterback Nico Iamaleava is making the first massive start of his career. He and this Tennessee team will head to a very hostile environment in Norman, Oklahoma, to take on a very hungry Sooners team. We are truly un sure what this Tennessee team is at the core so making them 7-point road favorites in Iamaleava’s first big start is crazy. There is surely a world in which this game comes down to the wire or Oklahoma gets the outright win.
Jackson Arnold is supposed to be the next big thing but he has not shown it yet. He is more than capable and is the reason that Dillon Gabriel is in an Oregon Ducks uniform. Look for this game to be a lot closer than the spread suggests and do not be shocked to see a Sooners win.

The Pick: Oklahoma +7
Rutgers (44.5) at Virginia Tech -3.5
This is a massive “prove it” game for the 2-0 Scarlet Knights. Heading into the season, the talk around Va Tech was that they were a fringe top 25 team. Thus far, we have not seen that. On the other hand, we have seen Rutgers run through two really bad football teams in Howard and Akron. They are yet to be tested and playing on the road in Blacksburg is no joke.
Look for this talented Virginia Tech offense to throw some jabs early in this game. Rutgers is not a team who is built to play from behind, and that is what I am envisioning here. Lay the points with the home team.
