Cleveland Browns at Jacksonville Jaguars Preview and Predictions

The 0-1 Cleveland Browns head down to Jacksonville Florida for Week 2 to take on the 0-1 Jacksonville Jaguars as one of these teams looks to add a notch in their win column for the first time this season. Let’s take a look at the Browns at Jaguars preview and predictions. The teams will face off at EverBank Stadium on Sunday, September 15th at 1:00 p.m. ET on CBS.

Joe Flacco made the Browns offense look great to end last season. Deshaun Watson returned last week and didn’t look very good. He went 24 for 45 for only 169 yards and one touchdown. He threw two interceptions on the day as well against the Dallas Cowboys. Tight end David Njoku has been ruled out for Week 2 with an ankle injury and Jerry Jeudy was on the injury report all week, although it looks as if he’ll play.

On the other side of the ball, the Jacksonville Jaguars looked good early against the Miami Dolphins in Week 1. At halftime, they were up 10 points. Then Dolphins explosive offense took over in the second half and they stormed back to the win. The Jaguars were impressed with rookie wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr who caught all four targets thrown his way for 47 yards and a touchdown.

Brian Thomas Jr Receiving Ladder 40+ (+100), 50+ (+175), 60+ (+290), 80+ (+700)

Jacksonville was impressed with Thomas Jr’s performance and so was I. The rookie wide receiver from LSU looked every bit the part ready to be the number one target for Trevor Lawrence. This could be a combination we get used to seeing. In his first start, he caught every target and made it to 47 yards, which’ll clear the first step in the ladder. If you are feeling frisky, DraftKings will let you ride this ladder all the way to 90+ yards at 11/1 odds.

Jaguars -2.5 (-130)

The Jaguars looked good early against the Dolphins. They just needed to keep that energy up into the second half of the game. The run offense looked strong with both Travis Etienne and Tank Bigsby splitting carries. The Cowboys torched the Browns for 33 points. Look for the Jaguars to capitalize on Deshaun Watson’s mistakes and put together a full game in Week 2.
