Week 2 Fantasy Football Lineup Advice: Top Streaming Options

Here are my favorite streaming options for fantasy football week 2. Fantasy quarterbacks, tight ends, and defensive special teams to start.

Week 2 is already here and unfortunately you already have lineup  decisions to make. There are some major injuries and bad matchups that are changing the fantasy football landscape. Quarterbacks are such a matchup dependent position after you get past the top guys. We have some great streaming options for you if you have Jordan Love or a bad matchup. We already know which teams to target with some great matchups for D/STs this week. Matchups matter and streaming the right player can be a difference maker.

Week 2 Fantasy Football Lineup Advice: Top Streaming Options

Jordan Love’s injury looms huge as it nerfs the Green Bay offense and opens up a sexy target for D/STs the next few weeks. Every offseason we think we finally have tight end depth, only to be dumpster diving in Week 2. Injuries and bad performances have the fantasy community in shambles already. If you have Jordan Love, you need someone to fill in this week and I have three great options for you.

QB, Baker Mayfield – Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Detroit Lions

Baker Mayfield was my stream of the week last week, he turned in a QB2 overall finish. The Commanders were a plus matchup, so there is a little pumping of the breaks. But, I don’t understand why the FantasyPros ECR has him at QB14 right now. Mayfield has a great set of weapons, including both of his running backs.  He has his confidence back and a great connection with Mike Evans. Mayfield should be a top-10 option this week against a Detroit Lions secondary that can be beat.

QB, Justin Fields at Tennessee Titans

We do not have confirmation yet, but all signs point to Justin Fields starting again. Russell Wilson has been limited all week in practice and Mike Tomlin doesn’t typically start Quarterbacks that didn’t practice. Fields was solid for fantasy last week and we saw him run at an extremely high rate. We also saw a solid connection with George Pickens. Fields rushing alone will get him inside the top-12 with the landscape of injuries or matchups already.

QB, Derek Carr – New Orleans Saints at Dallas Cowboys

Derek Carr and the Saints took advantage of a plus matchup last week. This week will be tough, but I like Carr’s chances at some hot, stinky garbage time points. They count the same and if New Orleans gets down big, Carr could chuck it up 40 times this week. Hopefully Chris Olave gets involved, but this pass offense should be busy against Dallas. An offense that looked much better last week under new Offensive Coordinator Clint Kubiak.

TE, Taysom Hill – New Orleans Saints at Dallas Cowboys

Taysom Hill was my stream of the week last week and I whiffed. Let’s take another swing for a tight end that has as much upside as any tight end. New Orleans blew out the Panthers and we didn’t see as much Taysom Hill as we are used to. In a closer game, look for them to unleash their Swiss army knife against the Cowboys.

TE, Hunter Henry – New England Patriots vs. Seattle Seahawks

Hunter Henry was heavily involved last week with an 82.2% route run rate. His 21.2% air yards share was one of the higher percentages at the entire position. Seattle is a different defense, but they were a top target for tight ends last season. This team doesn’t have many pass catching options. Henry is a streaming option this week, especially with so many injuries to tight ends already.

TE, Colby Parkinson – Los Angeles Rams at Arizona Cardinals

The Los Angeles Rams got hit hard with the injury bug in Week 1. Puka Nacua got carted off and is now on the IR. They also had four offensive lineman hurt. This will be a patchwork offensive line and Puka’s targets will need to be distributed. Puka left in the middle of the game and the team targets just all went to Cooper Kupp. We don’t expect Cooper Kupp to get 20 targets again, look for McVay to scheme up these other pieces and Parkinson is one of them.

D/ST – Indianapolis Colts at Green Bay Packers

Things can change quickly in the NFL. The Packers traded for Malik Willis a few weeks ago and signed Jordan Love to a monster extension. Now, Love is out for a few weeks and Willis is the starter. Willis has 3 starts for a combined 0 Passing Touchdowns and 3 Interceptions. He has thrown for 276 yards combined and has 10 sacks in those 3 games. Indianapolis is an average defense, but this is an A+ matchup, they are my stream of the week. Also, Josh Jacobs is now questionable with a back injury.

D/ST – Los Angeles Chargers at Carolina Panthers

Last week the New Orleans Saints were my stream of the week, they ended up as the top fantasy defense. They played well, but the matchup is one to target every single week. The offensive line and Bryce Young looked as bad as they did last year. The Chargers looked much improved under this new coaching staff and this defense played really well. PFF loves this defensive line vs. offensive line matchup for the Chargers. Mack and Bosa should have a field day on Sunday.

D/ST – Seattle Seahawks Vs. New England Patriots

The Seattle Seahawks made some plays last week and looked aggressive under new Head Coach Mike Macdonald. This week they have a plus matchup, getting the New England Patriots. Last week New England was able to get up early and control the game versus the Bengals. If Seattle can get up early, the Patriots will really struggle to play from behind with that passing offense. PFF has this as one of the more positive defensive line vs. offensive line matchups of the week. Start Seattle in Week 2.
