TOUR Championship Underdog Fantasy Pick’em Plays-August 29th, 2024
This year’s TOUR Championship will look a little different, as the course underwent a small renovation after last year’s event. Andrew Green did a lot of work on and around the greens. We will see new green complexes and shaved edges around the greens and the bunkers. Also, there are some new tee boxes, which will alter some sight lines off the tee.
Scottie Scheffler Lower Than 5.5 Birdies
Fading Scottie Scheffler is never a fun thing and is surely a losing effort if you do it regularly. I do believe this line is too high. Anytime new greens are laid out, they are firm. Players have already been saying how much firmer they are than normal.
That means it will be far tougher to get the ball to stop near the hole. Look for Scheffler to hit greens, but have trouble making birdies solely because he will not be as close as normal.
Chris Kirk Lower than 70 strokes
Anytime you get a trending Chris Kirk on Bermuda, you do not overthink it. Kirk has gained strokes by striking in four straight events for the first time this season. He really played some of his best golf when his back was against the wall.
Kirk is a Georgia guy and always loves playing on Bermuda, which is what we have here. He is not afraid to get off to a hot start, and 70 is a very benign line. Look for Kirk to help cash you an Underdog Pick ‘Em slip on August 29th.
