Round two of the FedEx Cup Playoffs is upon us, and we have a new golf course to dissect and take advantage of. Castle Pines is the host of the 2024 BMW Championship. Here are my BMW Championship Underdog Pick’em selections!

BMW Championship Underdog Fantasy Pick’em Plays – August 22nd, 2024
This course will catch your eye on paper as the longest golf course in PGA Tour History. Surely, it’s a great note and a fun nugget for the week. You may think bombers are the way to go for the week. Personally, I believe that driving will be somewhat mitigated by the wide landing areas and altitude of the event.
Xander Schauffele Higher Than 4.5 Birdies
What a round that Xander posted in round four of the FedEx St. Jude. It has been such an incredible year for Xander, and he has made us so much money this year. At first glance, this golf course absolutely screams Valhalla.
Longer track with easy off-the-tee conditions leading to long irons and 20-foot birdie putts. There aren’t many golfers I would prefer in those conditions than Xander. Look for him to keep up the solid play and cash you an Underdog Pick’em leg in round one of the BMW Championship.
Sungjae Im Lower Than 70.5 Strokes
Sungjae did not play his best golf in Memphis, so much so that he had the worst off-the-tee week of his PGA Tour career. I like him heading into this week for three reasons. One, that part of the game will positively regress. Two, off-the-tee is not too important this week. Three, I trust the approach, play, and putting. Sungjae is in for a great week at Castle Pines.
