An absolutely beautiful round of golf from Big Den this afternoon! A 7 under 63 has him in a tie for the lead heading into the first playoff weekend of the season. Denny is a notoriously amazing putter on Bermuda and he was due for a good week.
We saw Denny trending in the right direction after a solid iron week at The Wyndham. Believe it or not, he is leading the star-studded field in strokes gained through two rounds. Sadly for Den, I expect the pressure and situation to regress the iron play. Denny is a great fade in your FedEx St. Jude Underdog Fantasy Pick’em slip.

Rory McIlroy Lower than 67 strokes
If Rory has any heart, he will post a low round tomorrow. I am going to chalk today up to him going out late in the afternoon after all of the low scores were posted, causing him to press. Rory got that ugly round out of him and is going to take it deep on Saturday. This is a course that he has destroyed in his career, and I expect him to continue, too. He is not hitting the driver well, which is simply due to regress for us.
