Denver Broncos Fantasy Football Preview: What Denver Broncos Should YOU Draft?
The Broncos drafted Bo Nix in the first round of the NFL Draft, will he start Week 1? Mike has Nix starting 14 games, which is 1 less than his normal projections. This should give you some confidence in drafting him earlier in your Superflex leagues. Nix has some rushing upside, he had over 700 rushing yards in the last two seasons at Oregon. He still is a QB3 and should only be considered in Superflex fantasy football leagues.
The running back position is a big unknown. Javonte Williams is currently listed as the RB1 and camp reports have been very hopeful. The team added 2 rookie RBs this offseason, making it a crowded room. Samaje Perine might be on the way out if both Audric Estime and Blake Watson make the team. Mike has it projected that Samaje and Jaleel McLaughlin get a majority of the pass-catching work.
The pass-catching group is interesting with some young players that haven’t earned playing time. Courtland Sutton is the top target, but who is next in line. The team drafted Troy Franklin this year and Marvin Mims last year, but will they get the opportunities? Mike projects Marvin Mims to be the #2 target, but only finishing as WR66. Both Tim Patrick and Josh Reynolds could do enough to stop them from breaking out.
