Underdog Fantasy MLB Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – August 15

Michael Harris – Higher than 1.5 Total Bases

The Braves offense has been dormant for weeks it seems like. At least, that was the casae before Michael Harris returned to the lineup on Wednesday. A big part of that was having Harris in the middle of the lineup, where he belted a first inning grand slam and knocked in five runs. Not only does he look fresh for Thursday, but he gets Logan Webb, who he’s been stellar against before. He’s a career 5-for-8 against him with a triple and a homer (1.250 slugging percentage). I foresee him keeping that hot streak going.

Rafael Devers – Higher than 1.5 Total Bases

Devers seems to have cooled off a bit this month. However, he also has a solid matchup on Thursday. He’s a career 6-for-13 against Thursday’s starter Zach Eflin. Of those six hits, five of them have been for extra bases – three doubles and two dingers. This may just be the thing he needs to pick his monthly slugging back up to where it belongs.

JT Realmuto – Lower than 1.5 Total bases

Realmuto may have picked up his production in his past five games, but I don’t trust the bump right now. He has beat this projection in three of his last five games. However, prior to that he had gone five straight games without surpassing 1.5 total bases. If you want to peel it back further, he has met this projection just four times since the beginning of June. Those three recent games might have people excited, but I’m pumping the breaks here.
