We continue our Fantasy Football Previews with the 2024 Los Angeles Chargers. Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, and Austin Ekeler are all gone, Who Chargers should you draft? In this episode, I review ESPN’s projections for the Chargers from Mike Clay. We also used Sleeper’s Averaged Draft Position (ADP) to talk about their fantasy football outlook. Mike’s fantasy football finish projections vs. the average cost can give us an idea of each player’s fantasy football value.
2024 Los Angeles Chargers Fantasy Football Preview: What Chargers SHOULD You Draft?
Justin Herbert was a tremendous value his rookie year. He was undrafted and then finished as a top-10 quarterback. The last 2 seasons he has been drafted top-10 and finished outside. There are a lot of factors that didn’t go his way, but at the end of the day he was a bust. This expectations are much lower for Herbert this year. This offseason the team moved away from his top-3 weapons and hired a run-first Head Coach. He appears to be a streaming option at best.
The 2024 Los Angeles Chargers are going to look very different. The running back position no longer has Austin Ekeler. Greg Roman packed the Baltimore Ravens Running Back Room and brought it with him to LA. Both J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards join the team with Isaiah Spiller. The team also drafted Kimani Vidal who lead the NCAA in rushing yards in 2023. I am very interested to see how Mike projects this RB room. Gus Edwards has been a value all offseason.
This team sent a strong message by letting both Keenan Allen and Mike Williams leave via free agency. This sent a strong message and then they doubled down passing on Malik Nabers for Joe Alt. They did draft Ladd McConkey and added D.J. Chark. The 2024 Los Angles Chargers are only ahead of the New England Patriots for lowest WR ADP. We may want to avoid this offense as a whole, let’s talk about it.
