One more round of golf from The John Deere Classic. We will see a ton of birdies from the chasing back. Being in the final group on a course like this is a disadvantage on a course like this. These guys are not used to the final group pressure but will still have to keep their foot on the gas rather than playing defensively. Eric Cole Higher Than 68 Strokes
Cole finds himself in the final group after a great three days of golf. Every time he has gotten into this position, he has failed to come through. Cole has been out of it early when playing in contention. The final group must keep their foot on the gas in Sunday’s round. I do not trust Cole to do that. Whether it be from being out of position or missing putts. Cole is an Underdog Fantasy Pick’em fade for me.
Davis Thompson Less Than 5 Birdies
Davis is striping the golf ball and playing well all around. He has a two shot lead and has a load of golfers coming behind him. Once he grabbed the lead on Saturday, he looked a tad shaky.
Every single golfer behind him will be playing carefree and will make a ton of birdies. I would not be shocked to see some nerves get to Davis as he is not used to being in this spot. Fading the final group could surely have us cash an Underdog Fantasy Pick’em slip on July 7th.
