Daily Copa America Underdog Fantasy Plays – July 6
Luis Diaz Higher Than 0.5 Goals + Assists
The Colombians have played three wonderful soccer games leading up to tonight’s Quarterfinal matchup against Panama. They dusted off Paraguay and Costa Rica in the Group stage, added a draw against Brazil, and they’ve been scoring goals.
A large contributor to the Colombian’s success is winger Luis Diaz. He had an outstanding season for his club, Liverpool, over in England.
And here at the Copas, he has 1 goal across three games. Tonight’s opponent, Panama, should be outmatched for large portions of this game, and I expect Diaz to have his way out wide. So, we’re taking Luis Diaz to go Higher Than 0.5 Goals + Assists against Panama.
Alisson Higher Than 0.5 Goals Allowed
The Brazilians survived their group after earning a draw against Colombia. They haven’t looked entirely comfortable just yet, but this team has the tools and the talent to flip the switch and go crazy.
That said, through their three games at Copa America, they have only kept one clean sheet. And tonight, they’ll be squaring off against tournament favorites Uruguay. The Uruguayan’s attack has been quite operational throughout and the Brazilian’s defense has its holes.
This matchup should produce some goals, and I think Alisson will struggle mightily to keep a clean sheet. So we’re taking the Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson to allow Higher Than 0.5 Goals.
