One round to go in Detroit. We have a chance to cash another lineup and keep up the solid work. The course should set up well for chasers to post a number early on. Playing this golf course in a stress-free chaser mentality is the best way to play it. There will be a ton of birdie looks around this course, and these players will surely take advantage of it. Akshay does not have a bogey this week. He’s simply been class this week. A round of 68 would be unbelievable for him. The temperature will be down, and the wind will be a tad stronger than it has been all week. The par 5’s are not going to be “gimmies” tomorrow, and mistakes will happen in the final group. Akshay sits at -17, and he has only gotten to -20 or below twice since 2019.
Hate to fade the man we are all rooting for, but I do not see Bhatia shooting anything lower than 68. He is a great fade for your Underdog Fantasy Pick ‘Em slips.
Cam Davis Higher Than 1.5 Bogeys
Cam D is one of my favorite golfers. With him, you get all or nothing. Cam will hit some of the most spectacular golf shots in his round, surrounded by a few horrific ones. This 1.5 bogey line is super benign, and we have been taking advantage of it all week. A simple mistake can make a bogey, and Cam will have to play aggressively, which will make the bogeys easier to come about.
