This year, we saw six quarterbacks go in the first 12 picks of the 2024 NFL Draft. This vaulted at least five rookies in the first round of your Superflex Rookie Drafts. This class is also stacked at the wide receiver position. Not only does it have three top-tier options, but it also has plenty of depth. The Tight End class and the Running Back class are both perceived to be weak at this point. Let’s look at both the current ADP as well as my personal 2024 Superflex Rookie Rankings. Hopefully, we can answer the following question: Who are the top rookie sleepers?
2024 Superflex Rookie Rankings: Who Are the Top Rookie Sleepers?
At this point, there is so much information out there. That sleepers really don’t exist, especially if you are paying attention in June. But there are plenty of values, and for some people, there are still some sleepers. Landing spots are extremely important and should absolutely factor into your Rookie Rankings. But, Draft Capital is as important, if not more important. This not only tells you how evaluators felt about the players but also how much the team valued them.
Draft capital has a different meaning for each position. Rounds two and three are fantastic draft capital for all positions but quarterback. Generally, those players get early opportunities to make the roster and longer leashes because of the team’s investment. It’s not impossible, but it’s a lower chance of success for quarterbacks drafted outside of Day 1. The same is true for all other positions drafted in Rounds 4-7. I’ve taken that all into consideration when updating my 2024 Superflex Rookie Rankings post-draft.

Caleb Williams (QB) Chicago Bears
There is a lot of data that shows that Rookie Quarterbacks don’t tend to be that relevant in Year 1. They rarely produce top fantasy options at the wide receiver position. The only times it happened were when the wide receiver was already an established player like Keenan Allen, Steve Smith Sr., etc. Well, throw a lot of the data out because, typically, the #1 overall pick doesn’t walk into a great situation.
Caleb Williams walks into a fantastic situation and is set up for fantasy success. Not only should he push for all Rookie NFL passing records, but he can run the ball as well. No, he doesn’t run like Jayden Daniels. But he can get you 30 yards a game on scrambles each week. He is a creative player with a huge ceiling, easily the consensus 1.01.
Marvin Harrison Jr. (WR) Arizona Cardinals
It is Superflex and a lot of people would take Jayden Daniels at the 1.02. I am fine with that, but my #2 ranked player is Marvin Harrison Jr. Yes, there are a lot of good wide receivers, but Harrison Jr. is the #1 overall Dynasty Wide Receiver in his outcomes. Not only is he one of the most talented wide receivers, but he also walks into a great situation. Top wide receivers are ones that can earn a 30% target share and can push towards 2,000 air yards.
Harrison Jr. has that ability and is the clear-cut 1.01 in your standard Rookie Drafts. He is typically gone by pick 3 in your Superflex rookie drafts, and people are paying a ton for him in standard leagues. Marvin Harrison Jr. checks all of the boxes that you are looking for in a dynasty wide receiver. He is already a top-10 dynasty asset outside of the quarterback position.
Jayden Daniels (QB) Washington Commanders
Adam Peters said that the thing they loved about Daniels was his ability to flip the field on one play. He could make a 50 yard throw or run for 50 yards, just a game-changing type of player. Not only that, but Daniels is a polished prospect with a lot of experience. Unlike a Trey Lance type of player, Daniels has been around and we have also seen him improve each year.
Daniels just put up one of the best college football seasons ever. Yes, he was surrounded by talent. But this kid got better each year and, deservingly so, won the 2024 Heisman Award. I have no problems with someone taking him at the 1.02 spot. I have my shares, and I am a big supporter of Jayden Daniels. The value of quarterbacks in superflex means that Daniels will be high, but he is high in all rookie rankings right now as well.
Malik Nabers (WR) New York Giants
Malik Nabers could have jumped Marvin Harrison Jr. with the right landing spot. Unfortunately the landing spot is not ideal, but the talent is absolutely real. Just like a Garrett Wilson, he will need to overcome the situation early. But, the situation is very likely to change and Nabers is an extremely young and talented player.
His ability to play all over the field and to do damage after the catch makes him a difference maker. Nabers would be the top wide receiver any other year. Remember this is Dynasty, look past Daniel Jones and don’t pass up on a really talented player.
Rome Odunze (WR) Chicago Bears
Daniel Jeremiah’s favorite player in the 2024 NFL Draft. Odunze is another player that you might have to wait on a little bit. But this is another potential WR1 in this draft class. Unfortunately, he will have to compete with D.J. Moore and Keenan Allen to reach his targets. It’s unlikely he will get to 100 targets this season, which lowers his fantasy upside for 2024.
But, again this is Dynasty. Don’t be short-sighted and don’t miss out. Odunze is a stud and will get to pair with Caleb Williams. Love the pairing and I think the situation could be a lot worse. In Chicago, Odunze gets to learn from veterans D.J. Moore and Keenan Allen while he develops. Look for Odunze to be a breakout candidate in 2025.
Brock Bowers (TE) Las Vegas Raiders
Brock Bowers is the clear-cut #1 tight end in this class. Not only that, but he has been the top tight-end prospect since Kyle Pitts. Bowers moves like a wide receiver and has soft hands like Travis Kelce. Not only can he get open one-on-one, but his understanding of zone coverage is outstanding. A polished route runner who can do damage after the catch. Bowers could also end up as the #2 target on his team in 2024. The sky is the limit with Bowers, and his value is even greater with this positional advantage.
J.J. McCarthy (QB) Minnesota Vikings
J.J. McCarthy landed in a perfect landing spot. Great weapons, a great play-caller, and potentially the chance to sit for a little while. He is just 21 years old and doesn’t have a lot of experience. People forget how highly recruited he was, and a lot of scouts point to his performance in big games. McCarthy didn’t have to do much, so he didn’t put up gaudy numbers like Jayden Daniels. But, if you just look at the competitive games, he made plays when it counted.
Michigan couldn’t block Chop Robinson, so they ran the ball 32 times. They were up 20 or more points at half in most of their games, and they didn’t need to pass. But, in the playoffs and against Ohio State, McCarthy showed up in a big way when he needed to. This kid has plenty of arm strength and is a good athlete. He also showed off his legs a bit in the College Football Playoffs. We love to see some rushing for fantasy football.
Drake Maye (QB) New England Patriots
Drake Maye was the third quarterback off of the board, but the landing spot is tough. It’s dynasty, so I am still going to draft him early. But he basically landed on an expansion roster with an unproven coaching staff. This team is below average in every positional category. They did use some draft capital to bring in some wide receivers.
Ja’Lynn Polk and Javon Baker will compete with Demario Douglas, Kendrick Bourne, and K.J. Osborn for targets. The team also has Jacoby Brissett, and reports show that they will not rush Maye out on the field. Probably not a bad thing behind that offensive line. But once Maye gets out there, he should be good at fantasy football. He has prototypical size and projects as a great athlete in the NFL. There are a lot of comparisons between Justin Herbert and Josh Allen due to his physical traits and playing style.
Brian Thomas Jr. (WR) Jacksonville Jaguars
Brian Thomas Jr. lands in Jacksonville to replace Calvin Ridley. A big play threat that was the consensus WR4 in pre-draft. He ends up being the 4th Wide Receiver taken and he goes to a great landing spot. Unfortunately, he may end up 4th or 5th in targets, which is a little concerning for 2024. But this is a really talented player that is pairing up with Trevor Lawrence. I am buying in and betting on the talent to earn targets in the near future.
Xavier Worthy (WR) Kansas City Chiefs
This kid is lightning in a bottle, breaking the NFL Combine 40-Yard Dash Record. His stock was already on the rise when he landed with the Kansas City Chiefs. We saw what they did with Tyreek Hill and we love any wide receiver paired with Mahomes. Travis Kelce could be gone soon, and Worthy could be a big part of this offense in the near future. Not to mention, Rashee Rice could end up suspended for some of 2024. Just based on his landing spot, Worthy is climbing rookie rankings in all formats, including superflex.
Jonathan Brooks (RB) Carolina Panthers
Jonathan Brooks is the top running back off of the boards right now. An electric player that burst onto the scene in 2023. He had to sit behind Bijan Robinson but took advantage of his opportunities. Brooks did suffer a torn ACL late in 2023, which does hurt his 2024 outlook. He lands in Carolina with Dave Canales, who turned Rachaad White into a top-5 fantasy option in 2023. Brooks is a similar player with great pass-catching ability and breakaway speed.
Bo Nix (QB) Denver Broncos
Bo Nix was one of the biggest winners of the 2024 NFL Draft. A lot of people projected Bo Nix in the 2nd round, but he went to Denver at pick 12. This took him from a late 2nd round rookie pick to being a late 1st-round rookie pick. Nix only has to beat out Jarrett Stidham as the starter. He is going late in the first round in rookie drafts right now. He has a decent situation with an improved offensive line and weapons. They paired him up with Troy Franklin on top of Marvin Mims and Courtland Sutton.
