Round one of the 2024 Memorial Tournament is here. Jack’s Place is a staple on The PGA Tour on an annual basis. This is one of the truest and sternest tests of golf that we will see all year. Cam Young Higher Than 3 Bogeys
Young has simply not been playing his best golf. He has been off the last few weeks and that was highlighted by a missed cut in a week Canada field. This week, we will see some of the tougher conditions that we have seen all year. If you are not sharp, you will get torched. Young has a high ceiling, but I am shorting him on a course that will show your flaws. Fade Cam Young in your Underdog Pick ‘Em slips for June 6th.
Denny McCarthy Lower Than 3.5 Birdies
Denny was the runner-up in this event last year. Sadly for him, it will be a lot worse this year. Denny gained almost 12 strokes putting in 2023. Even for a great putter like him, that is not repeatable. The course will play longer since it is wet, and Denny will be fighting. He is short off the tee and not hitting his long clubs well at all. He will have very few birdie looks on a course like this and is also a great fade.
