The Quick Pick: Daily NHL Underdog Fantasy Pick ’em Picks for April 25

Steven Stamkos Higher Than 0.5 Points

The Lightning are back on home ice for Game 3 against the Panthers and are in need of a win. Veteran center Steven Stamkos has long been one of the Lightning’s biggest weapons. Thursday night he will definitely need to play a part if they’re going to get back in this series. Throughout the regular season, Stamkos put together 81 points.

And he has already logged three points in the Lightning’s first two playoff games. Dating back to the end of March, Stamkos now has tallied at least a point in 11 of his last 12 games. In a must-win game, we’re taking a seasoned veteran with the hot hands. Go ahead and press Steven Stamkos Higher Than 0.5 Points against the Florida Panthers.

Matthew Tkachuk Higher Than 0.5 Points

We’ll keep things in the state of Florida to examine our second NHL Underdog entry on Thursday night. The Panthers now take a two-game lead in their series up the road for a third meeting with the Lightning. When it comes to consistency, look no further than winger Matthew Tkachuk.

The Arizona native tallied 88 points during the regular season and has three in two playoff games. He also is working on a five-game point streak coming into tonight’s matchup. And digging into the regular season archives, you’ll find Tkachuk blasted the Bolts for six points in three games against. Let’s go with the American Panther here and take Matthew Tkachuk Higher Than 0.5 Points in Game 3.

Andrei Svechnikov Higher Than 0.5 Points

Our final Underdog entry for Thursday night’s playoff action will be Andrei Svechnikov of the Carolina Hurricanes. The winger from Russia has been on a mission now for over two weeks. Svechnikov logged a two-point night in Game 2 back in Carolina three days ago. Prior to that, Andrei had tallied points in five of his last six games.

Game 3 should be a fairly open contest, as I anticipate the Islanders making a few big pushes. For that reason, we’re loading up Andrei Svechnikov Higher Than 0.5 Points in our barrel. And damnit, let’s cash this three-pack banger!
