Underdog Fantasy NBA Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – April 24

Al Horford – Higher than 5.5 Rebounds

The Boston Celtics are rolling. And veteran big man Al Horford continues to be a key contributor to their success, especially on the boards.

I like Horford to grab at least six boards for us tomorrow against the Miami Heat. He averaged 6.4 rpg during the regular season, topped 5.5 boards in two of the three meetings with the Heat during the regular season, and – more importantly – snagged seven boards in Boston’s blowout win in Game 1.

Kevin Love – Higher than 11.5 Pts + Rebs + Asts

Let’s stick with the Boston-Miami game, and stick with veteran big men having impactful Game 2s. Kevin Love has provided a boost for the Heat off the bench – let’s go with his higher than 11.5 points plus rebounds plus assists for Tuesday night.

Love put up seven points, four boards, and two assists in Game 1, topping this 11.5 projection. And he’s beaten it in three straight games and five of his last six, as he finished the season strong for Miami.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander – Lower than 29.5 Points

While Shai Gilgeous-Alexander came through in the clutch for the Oklahoma City Thunder to win Game 1, he didn’t have the greatest game by his standards. And an overlooked fact is he hasn’t played up to his normal level over the past month.

Let’s count on this continuing in Game 2, and take the lower than 29.5 points for SGA. He’s failed to top this in four straight games – including in Game 1 – and has only beaten it once in his last nine games and twice in the past month.
