The UFL is entering its fourth week and the opportunity to make money on it is still there. This week, we’ll be looking to see if the Stallions can keep rolling. We’ll see if the Panthers’ defense can continue dominating. Furthermore, can the Battlehawks keep bouncing back? Let’s take a look at the UFL Week 4 picks, predictions, and best bets.
Just to add to the fun, we’re going to start a running bank total of fake money. Each week, there will be $10,000 in bets. Because who doesn’t have $10,000 lying around to bet on the UFL? I’m not telling you to bet $10K. I’m just showing you how I would split the unit on these games.

UFL Week 4 Picks, Predictions, and Best Bets
Memphis Showboats @ St. Louis Battlehawks (-7), Total: 45.5
Last week, the Battlehawks finally looked like the team from last year. They were able to move the ball down the field. The Battlehawks have one of the best-receiving corps in the league. They’ve just been trying to get everything on the same page.
The Showboats are coming off a bad loss. However, it was against the best team in the league, the Birmingham Stallions. Have the lines been over-inflated because of this?
A concern I have for the Stallions is how banged up Case Cookus got last week. His previously injured knee got banged up. Will that impact his play going into this week? Also, can the Showboats finally get the ball moving on the ground?
I don’t think they do. I do think the Battlehawks roll in the Battle Dome and start looking more like the dominant team we saw last week.
UFL Week 4 Best Bet: Battlehawks (-7) $1,500
DC Defenders @ Birmingham Stallions (-9), Total: 46.5
The DC Defenders may look good when you look at their record. However, they won a game last week after getting outgained by almost 200 yards. This is a situation where a team may look good in the box score, but if you put everything together, they aren’t that great.
The Stallions on the other hand are easily the best team in this league. They have covered every game so far. Whether it’s been Matt Corrall or Adrian Martinez, Skip Holtz has this team playing at a very high level.
The Stallions are averaging the most passing yards per game and the most rushing yards per game. The Defenders are allowing the second-most passing yards per game.
With nine-point plays and 4th and 12 conversions, covering a nine-point spread may seem like too much. However, this Stallions team can’t be stopped. This is one of my favorite UFL Week 4 picks.
UFL Week 4 Best Bet: Stallions (-9) – $3,500
Michigan Panthers (-1.5) @ San Antonio Brahmas, Total 41
This Panthers defense is fierce. In fact, they rival the Stallions for being the best defense in the league. They’ve held their opponents to the second-least amount of passing yards. The only team that’s held teams lower, ironically, is the Brahmas.
However, I don’t think the Panthers need to pass the ball that much. They run the ball well with Wes Hills and quarterback EJ Perry takes off and scrambles well as well.
The Brahmas lost their starting quarterback Chase Garbers due to an injury. He’ll be out for the season and backup Quentin Dormady will get the start in his place. Will Dormady be able to hold off this Panther’s defense and pass the ball efficiently in A.J. Smith’s fast-paced spread offense?
This is going to be a really interesting game, which opened up with the Brahmas as a favorite of one point, but is now seeing the Panthers catching -1.5. I fully expect the Panthers’ defense ready to create turnovers and to dominate this game. It feels like they’re just starting to click on all cylinders. I haven’t even mentioned they’re the best special teams team.
Special teams. Special players.
UFL Week 4 Best Bet: Panthers (-1.5) $2,500
Arlington Renegades (-3) @ Houston Roughnecks, Total: 46.5
The battle of the two 0-3 teams. I know, I know, you look at the record, and you think, hey, this is basically a pick’em as both teams are bad. However, these teams are very different when you watch them on the field.
The Houston Roughnecks have struggled all year. Perhaps they’ll be revitalized by the return of USFL star running back Mark Thompson. He’ll be making his season debut and the Renegades have had trouble stopping the run, allowing a league-high 121 rushing yards per game.
To give the Renegades some benefit, that included Week 1 with the Stallions putting up 183 rushing yards. They’ve allowed less each week as they’ve worked on tightening up the defensive line.
Regardless of Thompson’s return, I’m not sure the Roughnecks offensive line can run the ball. They’ve averaged only 48 yards per game and that’s not due to poor running back play. The offensive line has struggled to keep teams out of the backfield whether it’s on passing or running downs.
The Renegades are averaging the most passing yards per game while the Roughnecks have struggled to stop the pass, sitting around middle of the pack. Unless Dormady can bring some magic, this game looks like it will get out of hand.
One last thing to watch, the Roughnecks made a special teams coaching change. However, for three weeks straight they’ve allowed a punt block. Can the Renegades make it four?
UFL Week 4 Best Bet: Renegades (-3) $2,500
