Chicks dig the long ball, and bettors love home run props. Here are two home run props to play today, April 19, across all MLB action.
“Touch ’em all, Mickey Scales!”
-“Little Big League”
We are continuing to roll, one day after we cashed with….a single (thanks, Luis Rengifo!). We’re now 5-4 and +2.6u.
Better slate today, so here are the guys I’m targeting to hit balls to the moon (and a backup prop to accompany them).

Three Players Hitting Bombs Today: Home Run Props for April 19, 2024
2024 Season Record:
5-4 Overall (2-3 on HRs)
+2.6 units
Willy Adames (Milwaukee Brewers)
I’m not taking him because his last name is my name. Not at all. Ok maybe.
Adames is the somewhat forgotten gem in the Brewers lineup with the season William Contreras is having. He’s still 2nd on the team in OPS, home runs, OBP, and hits. He also has hits in 4 of his last 5 and 7 of his last 10 games against RHPs. The RHP going for the Cardinals is Kyle Gibson – he stinks. He’s already given up 5 home runs this year and we’re not even through April. Adames has a solid history against Gibson (.429, 1 HR, 1 RBI, 1.286 OPS) – Contreras actually is 0 for 11 with 6 Ks. Another reason we like Willy.
We’re gonna take his o1.5 Hits and runs. RBIs prop as his wRC+ jumps to 165 when he faces righties. He’s got two bombs in the last 10 days, a wRC+ of 204 the past week and the Brewers overall are just mashing (2nd in batting average over the past two weeks). With him in the cleanup spot, there should be dudes on base for him to drive home or he can hit one to Mars and do it himself.

Pete Alonso (New York Mets)
I’m a Phillies fan, so it’s in my blood that I hate all Mets. But it’s impossible for me to not love the Polar Bear. I mean – look at this random gif of him from All Star Game two years ago:
That’s just a dude who is locked in. Always.
The Mets are hot right now and have the 3rd best OBP vs RHP over the past two weeks. Petey has been MASHING – he has a wRC+ of 259 over the past week, three HRs, and a .391 batting average. The Dodgers are throwing Yoshinobu Yamamoto out again, and the Japanese phenomenon is still trying to get its bearings. He has elite strikeout stuff, but his hard hit rate is atrocious – 55% for the season. It’s not even just hard hits. His barrel rate is 15%. Everything goes to the track. His main pitch is a 4-seam fastball, which isn’t going to work against a Polar Bear who hits those things at a .300 clip. Alonso is batting near .300 against RHP, and his K rate goes down against them. Most hits Yamamoto is giving up to RHBs are getting pulled or going to left center – that’s cool. That’s where Pete sends 80% of his hits. So we have a hot hitter against a pitcher who throws hard – that’s a recipe for BOMBS.
Since the Mets as a whole are hitting better, we’re ok taking the Hits, Runs. RBIs prop instead of total bases. It won’t matter, the Polar Bear loves hitting home runs off rookies and will be sending one into the parking lot.
Pete Alonso o1.5 Hits. Runs. RBIs +110 BetMGM (risk 1u)
HR +450 BetMGM (.11u risk)
Kyle Tucker (Houston Astros)
People have been waiting for Kyle Tucker to fall apart, and it doesn’t seem to be happening, so we’re going to keep riding him. He’s batting an absurd .333 against LHPs with 3 HRs and a wRC+ of 223.1. MacKenzie Gore, yeah, he’s worse against lefties (they’re hitting .300 against him this season), so this is a perfect puzzle piece of BOOM.
Tucker may stink against curveballs, but he hits all of Gore’s other pitches well, and the Astros as a whole are 4th in batting average against LHP over the past two weeks. With lefty-killer Yordan Alvarez batting ahead of him, there should be folks on base for Tucker to manufacture some runs. We’re going to take his HRR as he’s hit this in 7 of his last 10 games against LHPs and is hitting at an 86% clip this season. He’s also hitting one into the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum since this game is in DC, and the Astros hail from Space City. It’s just science.
Kyle Tucker o1.5 Hits, Runs, RBIs -135 BetMGM (to win 1u)
HR +400 BetMGM (.12.5u risk)
