The Quick Pick: Daily NHL Underdog Fantasy Pick ’em Picks for April 17

The Quick Pick: Daily NHL Underdog Fantasy Pick ’em Picks for April 17

Well, degens. If you woke up and your pockets felt heavier, then it’s because we went two for two on Tuesday night. For anyone keeping score at home, we’re now five for our last five and up over 5x profits this week. Not too bad a way to round out the NHL regular season and head into the playoffs, eh?

Thursday night marks the second-to-last day of the regular season, and there is a modest four-game slate. With all eight teams in both Conferences already decided, these games are more or less a formality. But right now, The Quick Pick is hotter than your next-door neighbor, so let’s build another banger! Here are my three best NHL Underdog Fantasy Picks for April 17.

The Quick Pick: Daily NHL Underdog Fantasy Pick ’em Picks for April 17

Erik Karlsson Higher Than 0.5 Points

The Pittsburgh Penguins season is over, and Thursday night’s game will be played with no real team incentive. However, there are still plenty of personal incentives to play for, and EK65 will be a contributor. He heads into this final game with 55 points and has a three-game point streak alive and well.

But his teammate Sidney Crosby is going for an absurd season as a 36-year-old, and I see EK65 looking to feed him often. So this first NHL Underdog pick has a few factors, including the Isles probably resting their starters. Let’s go ahead and take Erik Karlsson Higher Than 0.5 Points tonight against the Islanders.

Jamie Benn Higher Than 0.5 Points

The Dallas Stars are trying to put a bow on their regular season after clinching the Division. On Thursday night, they’ll skate in front of home fans and take on the St. Louis Blues. Veteran winger Jamie Benn has put together a solid 60-point season and should be able to add another tonight. Benn comes into Thursday having tallied four points across his last four games.

And he has tallied a goal against the Blues this season. Let’s put our trust in the hands of the veteran on home ice in the regular season finale. We’re taking Jamie Benn to go Higher Than 0.5 Points against St. Louis.

Evan Bouchard Higher Than 0.5 Points

My oh my how the Edmonton Oilers did truly turn around their season. On Thursday night, they’ll skate into Arizona to face off against the Coyotes one last time in the desert. In a way, this third NHL Underdog entry mimics the line of thought as our first entry.

We have a stud defenseman in Evan Bouchard, coming in on 81 points and five in his last six games. He also has a teammate by the name of Connor McDavid looking to solidify an MVP season.

So, I expect Bouchard to be involved in the Power Play and feed McDavid any and every chance he gets. Let’s press that Higher Than 0.5 Points button on Evan Bouchard and cash a third straight banger!
