Well, degens. Our week started off with a banger, as Monday night, we went a beautiful three for three. It’s always nice to scoop up big profits early in the week, isn’t it? It’s going to feel especially nice to follow it up with a back-to-back banger! Tuesday night’s eight-game NHL slate is lifting her skirt and wants to show us the world.
So don’t get nervous. Just remember what got you here and trust your training. As for The Quick Pick, we’ve got you covered in case you freeze up. So here are my three best NHL Underdog Fantasy Picks for April 16.

Lucas Raymond Higher Than 0.5 Points
Readers and tailers, it’s right back to the well of Lucas Raymond on Tuesday night. Not only did he notch the point we needed in the dying embers of last night’s game. But he also scored the OT winner in a remarkable 5-4 comeback win.
Tonight, Detroit heads to Montreal for the home and home with their season still on the line. Raymond comes into Tuesday’s game on a five-game point streak. He has also tallied multi-point nights in three of those five games. Mix in the recency bias of seeing the same opponent two nights in a row, and what do you get? It starts with “H” and ends in “ammer.”
Let’s go ahead and smash Lucas Raymond Higher Than 0.5 Points to start our Tuesday night.
Andrei Svechnikov Higher Than 0.5 Points
The Rangers just won the President’s Trophy, but the Carolina Hurricanes are the odds-on favorites for the Stanley Cup. The team made some key acquisitions at the trade deadline and beefed up the roster. Russian winger Andrei Svechnikov needs no further beefing, as he has 52 points in 59 games played this season. He also comes into Tuesday night riding a four-game point streak.
Tonight the opponent is the Eastern Conference’s worst team in the Blue Jackets. Svechnikov scored a goal the last time he faced CBJ so I expect a better than most type shift tonight. We’re taking Andrei Svechnikov to go Higher Than 0.5 Points in game 82 against the lowly Blue Jackets.
J.T. Miller Higher Than 0.5 Points
The Vancouver Canucks have a couple of games left in their season to keep the second spot in the Western Conference. Tuesday night, they welcome the Calgary Flames to town in search of two more points. American center J.T. Miller has put in a 102-point season to date and is riding a 10-game point streak.
The man is hotter than the Spice channel you used to steal with your cable box scrambler. Oh, by the way? Miller has torched the Flames this season for a goal and an assist in three games.
So, in the words of Doc Brown, “If my calculations are correct. When this banger hits 88MPH, you’re gonna see some serious shit!” Let’s go ahead and press the Higher Than 0.5 Points on J.T. Miller and knock home a second consecutive banger!
