Day one of The Masters is here, and we have to talk about Underdog Fantasy. Don’t get too excited yet! We are going to have some weather on Thursday. There very well may be a delay or some golfers playing in the rain. This should suit some golfers and hurt others. Let’s take a look at some of my favorite Underdog Fantasy plays for The Masters on April 11th.

The Masters Underdog Fantasy Pick ‘Em Plays – April 11th
Sam Burns Higher Than 73 Strokes
One thing we know about Sam Burns, he does his best work in the easiest of conditions. News flash: Augusta National Golf Club is not that! In Burns’ major career, he has yet to have a high result in a major, and I expect that to continue around Augusta this year.
With the weather being questionable, I would envision the average score to be somewhere around 74. Believing that Burns will be on the worse side of that average due to his prior results. We will select the higher here.
Corey Conners Higher Than 10.5 Fairways Hit
Corey Conners is a staple fairway, green, and two-putt guy who plays tremendously around Augusta. Unlike any other golfer, he has the 5-yard draw on repeat and is a fairway machine on the tightest of golf courses.
One thing about Augusta is that the fairways are a lot wider than most. Corey should have zero problems hitting fairways, and if the rain picks up, that should help him. The more it rains, the less the ball will roll out.
This means once Conners’ ball lands in the fairway, it will have less of a chance to roll into the rough. Conners has an excellent history around Augusta and is in some of the best ball-striking form of anyone in the field.
Collin Morikawa Higher Than 72.5 Strokes
In short, Collin is broken. He could not break par at TPC San Antonio and has not gained strokes on approach in three consecutive starts.
Approach play is the baseline of Collin’s play, and if he is not doing that well, he will not play well. He is known to hit his patented fade as consistently as anyone on tour, but it has looked like a legitimate slice of late. Collin is simply in a rough patch, which he will get through, but Augusta National is not the place to be the slightest bit off.
