The Quick Pick: Daily NHL Underdog Fantasy Pick ’em Picks for April 5

The Quick Pick: Daily NHL Underdog Fantasy Pick ’em Picks for April 5

Well, degens. Thursday night, the NHL Underdog gods decided to smite our entries because we went just one for three. But for those keeping score at home, we’re still riding a 9 for our last 12 heater. This week, our profits remain high, and so does our confidence in this winning system. Let’s forget about last night and shift our focus to a six-pack NHL slate on Friday night.

In fact, do yourself a favor and grab a six-pack to enjoy tonight’s games. George Costanza once told Jerry Seinfeld, “It’s not a lie if you believe it.” Well, Friday night, The Quick Pick tells you, “It’s not a banger unless you cash it!” So here are my three best NHL Underdog Fantasy Picks for April 5.

The Quick Pick: Daily NHL Underdog Fantasy Pick ’em Picks for April 5

Adam Fox Higher Than 2.0 Shots

At this point in the season, the New York Rangers can almost reach out and touch the President’s Trophy. Friday night, they head to Detroit for a meeting with the Red Wings. Defenseman Adam Fox has put together a 68-point season to date and is on a three-game point streak. Tonight we’re focusing on his shot taking, needing more than two for a hit.

In Fox’s last eight games, he has eclipsed the two-shot mark four times. Given his time on the ice and willingness to contribute, I see this being a solid play. Let’s start our Friday banger with Adam Fox Higher Than 2.0 shots against Detroit.

Cale Makar Higher Than 0.5 Points

The Colorado Avalanche have already secured their spot at the table for this year’s playoffs. Friday night, they head North to Edmonton for what should be an exciting encounter against the Oilers. Makar is up to 82 points this year and has tallied four points across his last three games. And, just two weeks ago, he tallied a point against these same Edmonton Oilers.

With the current form of his teammates, Makar’s likeliness to nab a point tonight are math friendly. With our second NHL Underdog entry, we’re taking Cale Makar Higher Than 0.5 Points against Edmonton.

William Karlsson Higher Than 0.5 Points

For our loyal readers, they will be well aware of how painful it is for me to take a player on the VGK. However, centerman William Karlsson is on a five-game heater. And tonight, against the Arizona Coyotes, it looks like he’s going to make it six. Looking a bit further back on the schedule, Karlsson tallied an apple against these ‘Yotes in February.

Much like Makar above, the current form of the teammates around Karlsson factors into this pick. So, let’s mash William Karlsson to go Higher Than 0.5 Points and cash a Friday banger!
