Well, degens. Life has been mighty fine here at The Quick Pick this week, hasn’t it? Tuesday night, we went three for three for the second night in a row! That is now two bangers in the last two nights, and we’re rolling the hot dice again. For our tailers, depending on the Underdog options used, congratulations on your 7x and 3x profit scoops.
We’ll keep the freight train moving into Wednesday with the five-game NHL slate. Spoiler alert: It looks like defenseman points in big-time matchups kind of night. The Quick Pick is a shark, and we smell blood in the water. Here are my three best NHL Underdog Fantasy Picks for April 3.

Victor Hedman Higher Than 0.5 Points
The Tampa Bay Lightning have won three of their last four, and on Wednesday night, they’re headed to Toronto. They have all but wrapped up a post-season spot, and tonight’s game may be a foreshadowing of a first-round matchup. Veteran defenseman Victor Hedman’s play has been a large part of the Lightning’s sustained success.
He has tallied points in four of his last five and has a knack for finding the box score against Toronto. In fact, he logged a three-point night against the Leafs back in November. I fully expect Hedman to be involved tonight, especially considering the Swiss Cheese Maple Leaf defense. So, let’s take Victor Hedman Higher Than 0.5 Points to begin our Wednesday night banger.
Evan Bouchard Higher Than 0.5 Points
The Edmonton Oilers have been on a mission ever since they canned Jay Woodcroft earlier this season. Tonight, hiding behind door number two of our NHL Underdog entries is Oilers defenseman Evan Bouchard.
He and his teammates head to Dallas for an encounter with the scorching-hot Stars, who have won seven straight. Bouchard has been a pivotal piece to the Oilers’ blue line and comes in on 76 points. He has also tallied multi-point nights in two of his last three games.
Flip your calendars back to February and take note of Bouchard bagging two goals against these same Dallas Stars. Evan “almighty” Bouchard is in fine form, and we’re sniping a point tonight. Go ahead and mash the Higher Than 0.5 Points for Evan Bouchard tonight against Dallas.
Quinn Hughes Higher Than 0.5 Points
Our final NHL Underdog entry on Wednesday night is also a defenseman. Wednesday night the Canucks will look to rebound quickly against the ‘Yotes, after a 6-3 drubbing at the VGK. Canucks blue-liner Quinn Hughes has tallied 84 points this season, with a sexy 69 assists, NICE!
He also skates into Wednesday on a two-game point streak, with eight points across his last eight games. With an apple against the Coyotes back in January and his current form, a point should be within striking distance. Let’s smash the Higher Than 0.5 Points for Quinn Hughes and knock a third straight banger in the hole!
