Well, Degens. The NHL Underdog gods did not show any mercy or favor upon our entries on Tuesday night. With just one out of three correct, it was only a matter of time before our boiling pot cooled down. That loss is out of our system for the week so now it is time to shift our energy to Wednesday. And the energy it will take because the NHL’s two-game slate tonight is lighter than a box of matches. But like Bill Pullman once said in Independence Day, “we will not go quietly into the night!” It’s time to whip up a banger and get this freight train back onto the tracks. The Quick Pick: Daily NHL Underdog Fantasy Pick ’em Picks for March 27
Alex Tuch Higher Than 0.5 Assists (1.2x Odds)
The Buffalo Sabres have had a very Buffalo Sabre-like season. Hell, they even had a glimmer of hope a little over a week ago. But in typical Sabres fashion, the glimmer turned into darkness quicker than you can say wide right. But, tonight against the Ottawa Senators, we turn to winger Alex Tuch. This guy is from my hometown and he brings it every night. He comes into the season with 19 goals and 29 assists. And he is riding a five-game point streak. Oh, by the way? Tuch has now tallied a helper in each of those five games. So, it’s the Syracuse kid with a little extra mustard to start things off. Let’s take Alex Tuch to go Higher Than 0.5 Assists against Ottawa.Brandon Hagel Higher Than 0.5 Assists (1.25x Odds)
The Tampa Bay Lightning have won seven of their nine games in the month of March. They aren’t a lock for a playoff spot just yet, but the key is being inserted. Wednesday night, they’ll play host to Eastern Conference juggernaut the Boston Bruins. While the rest of the hockey guys look at Kucherov or Stamkos, The Quick Pick is looking at winger Brandon Hagel. The Saskatoon kid has 23 goals and 41 assists coming into tonight. He has three assists in his last five games, and has tallied an assist against the Bruins in both games played against them this season. If Underdog wants to spice his assist lineup, then that’s fine by our banger! We’re going with Brandon Hagel Higher Than 0.5 Assists tonight against the Bruins.
