Underdog Fantasy College Basketball Picks March 26

Matthew Dewoskin Underdog Fantasy College Basketball Pick Em Record (Est 3/1/2024)

All Pick Em Selections: 43-25-1 (63.0%)
Spicy Multiplier Picks: 2-0 (100%)
Perfect 3-0 Pick Em Entries: 5-18 (+1.8 units)

Jamison Battle (Ohio State) Higher Than 5.5 Rebounds

Ohio State Forward Jamison Battle is coming into this one averaging 5.1 rebounds per game, but he’s recently seen an increased usage rate.

Battle has cleared 5.5 rebounds in three of his last four games. He’s played more than 35 minutes in each of his last two games and should see a similar amount of playing time in tonight’s game.

Georgia is 281st in defensive rebounds allowed and 257th in shooting percentage. They don’t make many shots and let opponents snatch a lot of boards. Look for Battle to go higher on his rebounds total in your Underdog Fantasy college basketball pick’em entry for March 26.

Jizzle James (Cincinnati) Lower Than 5.5 Rebounds+Assists

Cincinnati freshman Jizzle James is already a legend for his name alone. However, he’s on the court to put the basketball through the hoop. He doesn’t distribute, and he’s not beefy enough to bang for rebounds.

James is averaging 1.8 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game this year. He’s gone lower than 5.5 rebounds and assists in five straight games. James has only actually cleared 5.5 RA in five games total this year. He’s coming off a game in which he played 38 minutes and only managed four rebounds plus assists.

Indiana State is 27th in the nation in rebounds allowed per game and 19th in assists allowed per game. They’re a great defensive team in the Missouri Valley Conference. Does that translate to being able to keep a Big 12 team off the boards? Not necessarily, but it’s clear that the Sycamores are capable enough to limit James’ opportunities.

Robbie Avila (Indiana State) Lower Than 16.5 Points

It’s a lot more fun to go higher on totals on a short slate, but this is the right side here. Indiana State center Robbie Avila is awesome to watch. He has an unusual body shape, plays an incredibly intelligent game, and can fill up a stat sheet. However, he’s not a super prolific scorer in the Missouri Valley Conference.

Avila is averaging 17.1 points per game coming into this matchup. In his last five games, he’s only cleared 16.5 points once. His last two games have come against Minnesota and SMU, which are Big 10 teams and AAC teams. He’s scored 11 points and 13 points in the step-up in competition.

The Cincinnati Bearcats defense is another step up in competition, and they have an Adjusted Defense rating of 15th in the nation. Avila will also be matched up with Aziz Bandaogo. That’s an opposing big man who stands seven feet tall and weighs 235 lbs.

Look to go lower on Avila’s point total in your Underdog Fantasy college basketball pick’em entry for March 26.
