The Quick Pick: Daily NHL Underdog Fantasy Pick ’em Picks for March 19

Well, degens. Monday night’s light NHL slate claimed the life of our first NHL Underdog entry of the week. After going just one out of three, man, am I glad to see a 13-game NHL slate on Tuesday? We have reached the business end of the NHL regular season, and there are some important matchups tonight. But that doesn’t mean we aren’t going to remain selective and stick to the process that brought us here. Like our good buddy Obi Wan once said, “Trust the Force, Luke.” So, let’s get back into the lab and build us a banger. Here are my three best NHL Underdog Fantasy Picks for March 19.

Sebastian Aho Higher Than 0.5 Points

The Carolina Hurricanes have bolstered their roster and are ready for their attack run in the Eastern Conference. They come into Tuesday’s game against the Islanders, having won six out of eight games this month. One large part of that success is the play of winger Sebastian Aho. He now has six points in just his last two games. And he has tallied a total of 12 points in their eight games in March. Sebastian Aho is a skating version of the blue flame in the old NBA JAM video games. So, let’s punch Sebastian Aho Higher Than 0.5 Points tonight against the Islanders.

Roman Josi Higher Than 0.5 Points

The Nashville Predators return home on Tuesday night after a successful three wins in four on their road trip. They’ve been a consistently great hockey team of late and have been getting contributions from all over the ice. Our second NHL Underdog entry is a familiar face for the loyal Quick Pick readers. Veteran defenseman Roman Josi is up to 67 points this season and comes into tonight on a three-game point streak. He should be able to make it a 4th straight against the lowly Sharks. A team he just dusted up for an assist and five shots on goal back in late February. Tonight, we come as Roman’s because we’re smashing Roman Josi Higher Than 0.5 Points against the Sharks.

Evan Bouchard Higher Than 0.5 Points

From one Quick Pick familiar face to another, who also happens to be a key defenseman for his hockey team. The Edmonton Oilers have a couple of games in hand on their Western Conference opponents, but they are firmly in the playoffs. Tonight, they welcome the Canadiens to town, and I expect a big performance. Defenseman Evan Bouchard is up to 64 points this year and has his own three game point streak currently. He’s also tallied points in four of his last six meetings against Eastern Conference teams—one point from Evan Bouchard and its next stop, banger-ville. We’re taking Evan Bouchard to go Higher Than 0.5 Points against Montreal.
