The Quick Pick: Daily NHL Underdog Fantasy Pick ’em Picks for March 17

The Quick Pick: Daily NHL Underdog Fantasy Pick ’em Picks for March 17

Saturday’s Underdog entries didn’t quite have the luck of the Irish, as they went a mere one out of three. However, Sunday is St. Patrick’s Day and The Quick Pick did leave gold out for the Leprechaun last night. Hopefully both the Leprechaun and the Underdog gods look favorably upon us today.

There is a seven-game NHL slate on Sunday, and it is time to bounce back. So, with a little bit o’ luck and a lot o’ bit of skill, it’s time to build a banger. Here are my three best NHL Underdog Fantasy Picks for March 17.

The Quick Pick: Daily NHL Underdog Fantasy Pick ’em Picks for March 17

Mikael Granlund Higher Than 0.5 Assists

The San Jose Sharks haven’t had much to write home about this year. However, veteran center Mikael Granlund is one of the bright spots on this roster.

He heads to Chicago on Sunday, sitting on nine goals and 34 assists this season. Granlund also has 11 points across his last 10 games. Of those 11 points, nine have come by way of the assist.

The Sharks also wear green jerseys, so for the “sticious” degen’s, we’ll take some luck with this entry. Go ahead and press that Higher Than button on Sharks center Mikael Granlund.

Mark Scheifele Higher Than 0.5 Assists (1.1x Odds)

The Winnipeg Jets have struggled to string wins together lately but look to be a dark horse in the West. Veteran centerman Mark Scheifele comes into Sunday’s matchup against Columbus with 19 goals and 39 assists.

He also is up to eight assists across his last ten games. The opposition is playing for nothing, but the Jets need these two road points. And with a spicier 1.1x price here, a Scheifele apple is worth the pick. Let’s take Mark Scheifele Higher Than 0.5 Assists against the Blue Jackets.

Lucas Raymond Higher Than 0.5 Points

The Detroit Red Wings come into Sunday clinging to the final Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference. They’ll travel down I-90 from Buffalo to Pittsburgh and search for a second consecutive win. The 21-year-old Lucas Raymond comes into this tilt in fine form and on a three-game point streak.

His streak has also been littered with goals in three straight games. With the Penguins struggling to keep teams from scoring lately, this is a great spot for Raymond to stay hot. And, for the degens to cash this banger! So bring us home, Lucas Raymond, by going Higher Than 0.5 Points against the Penguins.
