THE PLAYERS is here. TPC Sawgrass provides one of the best finishes on a yearly basis, and we should be looking for another one this year. We will see the best and deepest field in a single PGA Tour event that we will see all year. The name of the game is playing out of the fairway. We talk about “short bermuda tracks” all the time, but this is the king of them all. Being precise off the tee will give you plenty of chances to score. Here are my 2024 THE PLAYERS Best DFS Plays!

2024 THE PLAYERS Best DFS Plays By Range
Upper Range: Xander Schauffele $11,300
Do we want to fade Scottie Scheffler? The defending champion of this event is coming off his best showing in a full year.
Although he won in dominant fashion last year, I still believe there is a path to fade him. With this course being somewhat shorter, the baseline for Scottie Scheffler’s tee-to-green game gets somewhat closer to the fields. He does his best work when the courses are longer and more demanding.
Xander Schauffele is coming off a losing iron week. Has anyone else had a losing iron week before a win? Scottie Scheffler two starts ago. Xander provides a great path to the top of the leaderboard.
He can get off to a slow start and backdoor a top-five finish or come out of the gates extremely fast and linger on the leaderboard. Xander is an extremely accurate driver and a great mid-iron player. He is a great click to start your 2024 PLAYERS DFS lineups.
Mid Range: Russell Henley $8,600
Russell Henley does ALL his best work on short Bermuda tracks, and the form is awesome. He is usually an average putter with a higher ceiling on Bermuda, and boy, did he show that ceiling! In the last two weeks, he was near the top of the field in putting and had the ball striking to match it at Bay Hill.
He should parlay that ball striking and putting confidence into a course that suits him perfectly and that he has played well at. If there is a big event that Henley can win, it is THE Players.
Bottom Range: Ryo Hisatsune $6,200
The blossoming young talent got off to a hot start in Puerto Rico but faded as the event went on. Ryo is making a ton of cuts, which would be lovely at 6.2k.
His game revolves around driving accuracy and elite iron play, which is the exact formula for Sawgrass. Outside of this, he won on a very similar golf course in France on the DP World Tour last year.
He is a cheap option with a ceiling that could be huge! Close your 2024 PLAYERS lineups with Ryo Hisatsune in this bottom price range.
