College Basketball Picks March 8th
Missouri State vs. Indiana State (-11.5) (O/U 148.5)
In March, riding the hot hand is the name of the game. Missouri State got the job done yesterday afternoon and now has a chance to take down the best team in the conference.
Earlier this season, The Bears took the Sycamores to the wire but blew the game late. They know they have what it takes to win this game today.
Indiana State has had a bit of a break, while Missouri State has been cooking and getting solid reps in. I would not be shocked to see The Bears win this game outright.
The Pick: Missouri State +11.5
Akron (-8.5) at Western Michigan (O/U 138.5)
This is a major bounce-back spot for Akron as they head to Kalamazoo to try to cling to the top seed in The MAC. These two have already played a game against each other, which resulted in an 11-point win for The Zips.
Yes, that was at home for The Zips, but that was very early in the season, and I can see this one getting uglier. Akron is in a class above Western Michigan. They should have no issues scoring the basketball inside, which is what they do best.
Western Michigan will need to have an outlier performance from beyond the arc, which is a lot against this solid Akron defense.
The Pick: Akron -8.5
