College Basketball Picks March 6th
Villanova (-1.5) at Seton Hall (O/U 131.5)
If you enjoy hard-nosed Big East hoops, this is the game for you. These two Big East teams are in must-win mode ahead of tonight’s contest. They both sit on the bubble and cannot afford another loss. The strength of both of these teams is getting to the rim and drawing fouls.
Expect the guards on both ends to go at each other like battering rams and get to the free throw line. With a spread this tight and a game expected to be so tight, we need to look into who shoots the ball better from the line.
The edge is with The Wildcats as they are one of the best free throw shooting teams in the nation. Ride with the road cats laying the short number.
The Pick: Villanova -1.5
Houston (-8.5) at UCF (O/U 130.5)
This is a major look-ahead spot for The Cougars in this one. Kelvin Sampson has the boys rolling at the perfect time. They are excited to get into The Big 12 Tournament but, more importantly, play Kansas next game. The boys surely have an eye on the next contest and will be looking ahead to this UCF team.
That is not what you want to do in Orlando, as UCF already has a win against Kansas at home. Look for this one to be a tad closer than expected. Give me the Knights!
