For as rough as the PGA Tour season has been, this is a very solid field for The Puerto Rico Open. Usually, this field is a bunch of random names that come over to try and grab a few FedEx Cup points. With the Arnold Palmer Invitational Field being so small, we are seeing more names than normal play this alternate-field event. Let’s take a closer look at my 2024 Puerto Rico Open DFS plays!
2024 Puerto Rico Open: Best DFS Plays by Range
Upper Range: Daniel Berger $10,500
Daniel Berger is playing some solid golf in his return to the PGA Tour. Although he missed the cut at PGA National, he was leading the field in strokes gained tee to green before he putt his way out of it on Friday.
Berger is the class of the field and knows he has the game to win this week, even though he has not played much golf. He should be motivated to win again, even if he is not putting well. His ball striking alone will do enough to pay off at this price point.
Mid Range: Nate Lashley $8,700
Nate Lashley has missed a few cuts in a row but has been a popular pick in the first round leader streets. For whatever reason, he loves it here. His last three trips have resulted in top ten finishes which means he should be excited to tee it up here.
A little over a month ago, Lashley was in the mix at Torrey Pines. Truthfully, that should have him confident in a field like this. Lashley is a great click in this DFS range.
Bottom Range: Harrison Endycott $6,500
Endycott is a grinder, and he is super talented. Less than three months ago, he won the Q-School event in order to gain a PGA Tour card. He also went over to Europe to get some DPWT reps and was leading an event through 36 holes. At 6.5K, this is a misprice. I believe he has the talent to win in a field like this.
Endycott did not play his best golf in early 2024, but he showed great signs on The PGA Tour in 2023. If you need to grab someone in this range, Endycott is your guy.
