The Quick Pick had a case of the Mondays after our first entry this week went one out of three. But, just like there is no crying in baseball, we don’t sit around here and sulk about the losses. We’ve been too good this year to do any of that. Besides, there’s a solid nine-game NHL slate on Tuesday night to help us build a banger. Like a little green Jedi once uttered, “Do or do not, there is no try.” We’re going to listen to those words because we’ve got bags of cash to grab! Here are my three best NHL Underdog Fantasy Picks for March 5.
The Quick Pick: Daily NHL Underdog Fantasy Pick ’em Picks for March 5
Zach Hyman Higher Than 0.5 Points
The Oilers travel to Boston on Tuesday night in search of their third win in three games here in March. They’ve also got a few games in hand on the teams ahead of them so two points tonight would be monster. For that reason, we’re putting our faith and trust in veteran centerman Zach Hyman. With 42 goals and 19 assists on the year, Hyman has been wonderful in a supporting role. He also comes into Tuesday’s game with 12 points across his last 10 games. Two of those points came against these Bruins just two weeks ago. So grab those hammers, and let’s smash Zach Hyman Higher Than 0.5 Points against the Bruins tonight.
Roman Josi Higher Than 0.5 Points
The Nashville Predators came on like gangbusters to finish February and begin March. Tuesday night, they’ll be skating on home ice against Montreal and looking for their ninth straight win. The veteran defenseman Roman Josi is a good friend of The Quick Pick because all he does is convert. Tuesday night, we’ll be in search of his 62nd point of the season to help us cash this banger. Josi comes into Tuesday’s tilt on a five-game point streak. Across those five games, he has four goals and five assists. We’ll take the Predators talisman who’s wielding a hot hockey stick right now. Go ahead and grab Roman Josi Higher Than 0.5 Points against the Canadiens.
Jamie Benn Higher Than 0.5 Points
Our third NHL Underdog entry on Tuesday night will be wearing a Dallas Stars sweater, skating on Sharks ice. The Stars are almost mathematically locked into the playoffs, and tonight, they face a bottom feeder. Benn has 36 points on the season and has now tallied points in six of his last eight games. One of those six came against these Sharks three nights ago, so the recency bias is working in our favor. Time to put pen to paper and take Jamie Benn Higher Than 0.5 Points against the Sharks. We’ve got a banger to be cashin’.
