Unfortunately, last week ended with a dud after a big old goose egg on Sunday night. Luckily, it is a brand new week of NHL Underdog action here at The Quick Pick. And, Monday night starts us off with a solid six game NHL slate.
Like a wise old baboon once said, “you can either run from the past, or learn from it!” So that’s what we intend to do here tonight because those bangers are there for the taking! Let’s grip it and rip it, degens! Here are my three best NHL Underdog Fantasy Picks for March 4.

Matthew Tkachuk Higher Than 0.5 Assists
The Florida Panthers will begin their week in Madison Square Garden for a big-time test against the Rangers. Florida has been firing on all cylinders lately, with four straight wins coming into tonight. Winger Matthew Tkachuk has 21 goals and 47 assists this season and tonight we’re taking him to snag assist number 48.
Tkachuk has an astounding 12 assists across his last 10 games and logged an assist last time out against the Rangers. It’s a big time game so we’re trusting the big time player. Let’s take Matthew Tkachuk Higher Than 0.5 Assists tonight at MSG.
William Nylander Higher Than 0.5 Assists
The Toronto Maple Leafs are like a bad penny to me in that they always seem to be turning up. There is no avoiding the fact that they are one of the better teams in the Eastern Conference.
However, tonight, they’ll have to get by Boston if they want to turn more folks into believers. One kid on the roster who doesn’t need any more believers is winger William Nylander.
He comes into tonight with 33 goals and 50 assists. Nylander has now also logged seven assists in just his last five games. And, back in December, he snagged an apple against these very same Bruins. Our second NHL Underdog entry is William Nylander to go Higher Than 0.5 Assists against Boston.
Nazem Kadri Higher Than 0.5 Points
The Calgary Flames appear to be making their last stand to make a push for a playoff spot. Coming into Monday’s matchup against the Kraken, the Flames have now won five straight. Veteran centerman Nazem Kadri has been huge down the stretch and has tallied seven points in that five-game winning streak.
Kadri now also has three points in three games against these Kraken this season alone. Weigh the anchor on this banger with the gritty veteran in a Flames sweater. We’re taking Nazem Kadri Higher Than 0.5 Points on home ice against the Seattle Kraken.
