Well, degens. Our last week in February is off to a bit of a slow start. Tuesday night’s entries went just one out of three, so there is work to be done. Wednesday’s NHL slate is as small as a hockey puck, as there are just two games to build a banger. To quote a famous fictitious fraternity member, “When the going gets tough, the tough get going!” So, let’s bite down and give Wednesday night a little hell. The Rangers come into Wednesday’s game against the Blue Jackets just one point off the pace in the East. The opponent tonight was the same opponent from Sunday who derailed the Rangers ‘ 10-game winning streak. We’re going to key in on defenseman Adam Fox in this spot, looking for a singular point.
Fox has nine goals and 38 apples this season and now has eight points across his last six games. Oh, by the way? He registered an assist in the loss to these same Blue Jackets just three days ago. Robert Thomas Higher Than 0.5 Points
Heading into Wednesday night’s game against the Oilers, the St. Louis Blues playoff chances are right at about 50%. That makes this spot a massive one to snag two points and a game probably worth tuning in for. Our second NHL Underdog entry tonight is Blues center Robert Thomas, who has 19 goals and 47 assists this year.
It’ll be a point we need, something Thomas has 14 of in his last 10 games. In big spots, it’s always been my philosophy to rely on big players, and Mr. Thomas is one of them. Let’s kick some tires and light some fires with Robert Thomas to go Higher Than 0.5 Points tonight against Edmonton.
Evan Bouchard Higher Than 0.5 Points
With just two games on the NHL docket tonight, we’ll stay in the nightcap with our third NHL Underdog entry. As big a game as this is for the Blues, it is equally as big for the Edmonton Oilers.
Loyal readers will recall that earlier this season, I swore off using Connor McDavid ever again. So tonight, we lean on our good buddy Evan Bouchard, who is in need of a minuscule point.
