College Basketball Picks February 17th
Creighton (-3.5) at Butler (O/U 152.5)
The Jays head to Hinkle to look for some revenge against the Bulldogs from their meeting on February 2nd. That meeting was an instant classic, Butler out lasted Creighton by a score of 99-98. We saw an otherworldly shooting performance from Butler in that meeting. Butler shot 55% from the field and posted a ridiculous 59% three-point shooting display.
Now, these Bulldogs can score as they are not scared to score 90 plus points, but they truly could not miss Omaha a few weeks ago. By the law of averages alone, Butler will not shoot the ball that well, and Creighton will be looking for revenge. I know it is a road matchup in conference, but I am buying the Jays in a revenge spot.
The Pick: Creighton -3.5
Texas at Houston (-10.5) (O/U 131.5)
Texas takes the short trip to head to Houston and try to knock off the co-leaders of the Big 12. Houston has been vulnerable this season, but when they are cooking, they are the toughest team to beat, in my opinion.
I trust Houston to come out the gates and take care of their in-state Rivals, but it may be closer than most expect. Texas played very well against Houston last time around, as the Horns only lost by four at home. I know home court plays a big role, but Houston is coming in confident and expecting to roll the Horns. They may just be looking ahead…

The next game up for Houston is a home rematch with Iowa State as they try to avenge their loss in Ames. A little look ahead spot for Houston plus a revenge spot for Texas… give me the Horns to keep it close!
