College Basketball Picks February 5th
Miami at Virginia (-6.5) (O/U 132.5)
UVA has found something over the last few weeks. A slow start to the ACC season turned some heads, but they find themselves winners of six straight and 8-3 in the ACC.
Miami has been hit or miss of late. They are yet to really gel as a team after losing some key pieces from last year’s squad. While this could be an issue, this chaotic and fast style of play is exactly what can crack UVA.
Miami will have the athletic advantage, and this game will come down to the wire. I would not be shocked if the Canes pull off the road victory.
The Pick: Miami +6.5
Kansas (-4.5) at Kansas State (O/U 145.5)
Massive rivalry on a Monday Night in Manhattan. The Jayhawks are coming off their biggest win of the season as they ran through Houston at home while being one-point underdogs. Kansas State has cooled off of late after a decent start to the season, but it should be dialed in for this one!
Kansas should have the schematic advantage In this contest, especially down low. Hunter Dickinson is usually no match for most teams, but especially this KSU group of big men. Where I believe Kansas State will find success is on the wings.
They have a few athletic guards who can create points off the dribble. With both offenses having a path to success, I am going to ride with the over.
The Pick: Over 145.5
