New month, its time to make some new money! We had a great start to January but muddled out down the stretch. A ton of 1-1 days did not help us over the last two weeks. February is here, so that means it is time to heat up again. Here are the College Basketball picks for February 1st.

College Basketball Picks February 1st
Tulane at SMU (-9.5) (O/U 156.5)
Tulane is an uber-volatile program with a great coach and the ceiling to defeat any team in the conference. Just last week, they beat a top 20 team in Memphis and followed it up with a loss against 2-6 UTSA.
SMU has dropped two straight and is surely trying to get back in the win column, but it will not be easy against an explosive team like Tulane. The Mustangs have been impressive this season.
No one thought they would have 13 wins coming into February. Both of these teams love to run and love to score. That style provides massive volatility but could be very rewarding.
You know what you will get quick with Tulane. They will come out flat and pack it in or go on a quick run out the gates, and the game will come down to the wire. I expect we see the ladder of the two and would not be shocked if Tulane pulled off the road upset.
The Pick: Tulane +9.5
Stanford at Arizona State (-1.5) (O/U 151)
Arizona State has done well protecting its home court, and I believe that will continue this evening. Stanford has looked better over the last few games, but I do not see them getting the road win.
Laying less than a bucket feels disrespectful to a home team in conference playing a team with the same record. Also, ASU already has a victory over Stanford. Sure, The Cardinal will be looking for revenge, but this line is simply too short.
The Pick: Arizona State -1.5
