Tuesday hoops are always a great time. We have a nice slate of games to choose from. The final week of January has been a load of 1-1 results. We need to finish off the right way with a sweep. Here are the College Basketball picks for January 30th.

College Basketball Picks January 30th
South Carolina at Tennessee (-14.5) (O/U 136.5)
Although South Carolina is unranked, they are turning heads in the SEC circuits. They head to Knoxville with a 5-2 record in conference and a 17-3 record overall to try and get within a half-game of the conference leaders.
Winning in Knoxville is no easy task and Tennessee has been playing as well as any team in the nation. Their offensive attack is extremely strong at all three levels. The Vols can kill you from deep, in the mid-range, or at the rim.
South Carolina knows they will not win this game in a slog fest. They will have to ramp up the pace and try to outscore the high-scoring Vols. I think this game will b played faster than both are used to so we will take a look at the total.
The Pick: Over 136.5
Marquette at Villanova (-1.5) (O/U 143.5)
The Wildcats were at the top of the world to start Big East play, but things have changed two weeks later. They come into this game with some injuries and having lost four straight games.
Marquette has been vulnerable this season but has written the ship of late. At this point in the season, Nova is not a shoo-in for the NCAA Tournament.
They can change that with a massive home win against Marquette. Their backs are against the wall, and we know Finneran Pavillion will be rocking. I am happy this game is on campus rather than at the Wells Fargo Center.
