Jahmyl Telfort (Butler) Lower Than 22.5 PRA
First off, let’s start with Jahmyl Telfort’s trends. The lower than 22.5 points, rebounds, and assists stat combo is 8-0 in Big East play this season. Butler has already played Georgetown once this season. The Bulldogs won 74-64. Telfort’s line was 12 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists.
Now I want to zoom into Telfort’s last four games. The Senior guard is shooting just 24.4% from the field (10-41) and only averaging 18.3 PRA in his last four games. I’m aware the player projection “smells” and seems off, but the trends are too strong not to dive into the stink here.
Olivier Nkamhoua (Michigan) Higher Than 15.5 Points
This is a reminder that during their first six road games this semester, Michigan has to play without their leading scorer and point guard, Dug McDaniel, due to an academic suspension. Olivier Nkamhoua led the Wolverines with 18 points against Maryland in UofM’s first game without McDaniel.
The higher on Nkamhoua’s 15.5 points is 7-1 in his last eight games and 9-4 vs high major competition. Purdue will be the toughest challenge that Michigan has faced this season. With Nkamhoua’s tendencies to play his best in the big games, and this being the second game without McDaniel, this is a great spot for the Wolverine forward.
Baylor Scheierman (Creighton) Higher Than 7.5 Rebounds
Xavier vs Creighton should be a great Big East battle. Due to the Musketeers’ frontcourt preseason injuries to Jerome Hunter and Zach Freemantle, that unit has not been as good as it looked on paper entering this season.
X currently ranks 231st in defensive rebounding rate. Baylor Scheierman has recorded more than 7.5 rebounds in seven of his eight Big East conference games this season.
