Well, Friday night’s NHL Underdog picks certainly left a lot to be desired after going a pathetic one for three. With Taylor Swift here in Buffalo to watch her boytoy, I’ll use her words; “shake it off, shake it off.” And if you’re tailing, maybe take comfort in the fact that you’re still up about 6-10x profit on the week! Saturday in the NHL features a packed 12 game slate and we’re determined to pick the lock on another banger. So grab your tools, pour yourself a drink and pay close attention, because it’s time to win. Here are my three best NHL Underdog Fantasy Picks for January 20.
The Quick Pick: Daily NHL Underdog Fantasy Pick ’em Picks for January 20
J.T. Miller Higher Than 0.5 Assists
The Vancouver Canucks are flying high here in the first month of 2024, with seven wins in nine games. Veteran center J.T. Miller is having a phenomenal season, coming into Saturday with 20 goals and 41 assists. The Canucks welcome the Maple Leafs to town and this game is sure to provide a few fireworks.
Miller has tallied assists in each of his last two games and now has eight in his last nine. His line has been on fire of late and it will need to stay that way to dust off Toronto. Let’s take J.T. Miller to go Higher Than 0.5 Assists on home ice against Toronto on Saturday night.
Mark Stone Higher Than 0.5 Assists
It pains me to use a Golden Knights player, but when someone is hot they always need to be considered. Mark Stone is just that, because he skates into Saturday night with a four game point streak. He also just tallied a hat-trick against the Nashville Predators on Monday night.
With Jack Eichel on the shelf, Stone becomes even more important to his team than he already was. Tonight’s opponent is the Pittsburgh Penguins, whom he had two assists against in two games last season. So keep it rolling, Mr. Stone. We’ll take an apple, please and thank you! Go ahead and press Higher Than 0.5 Assists for Mark Stone tonight against the Penguins.
Blake Coleman Higher Than 0.5 Points
We’re rounding out our NHL Underdog entries tonight by taking a look at the Battle of Alberta. The Oilers come into the game on an absolutely insane 12 game winning streak. But while everyone’s looking right, we’re going left and taking Calgary Flames center Blake Coleman.
He has 12 points in his last nine games and I anticipate his involvement tonight. The Flames may not have the ceiling the Oilers do, so expect them to really push to halt the Oilers winning streak. We’re taking Blake Coleman Higher Than 0.5 Points to complete a Saturday night banger!
Best Ways to Build Your Saturday Card
-Play all three players together using the “Standard” option on Underdog for a 6x winner
-Play all three players together using the “Insured” option on Underdog for a chance at a 3x winner for all three, or a 1x winner for getting two out of three.
