College Basketball Picks January 20th
Baylor (146.5) at Texas -1.5
Two of the better Big 12 teams face off in Austin. One will be a lot hungrier than the other. Texas is coming off a game in which they blew a 20 point lead to UCF. That will go down as one of the worst losses of the season by any team.
We will learn a lot from Coach Rodney Terry and The Longhorns in this matchup. Facing off against a super talented Baylor team with a great coach is no easy task, especially at home. I do like Texas to show some heart in this one but Baylor might be too strong. I expect Texas to come out extremely hot off that loss.
Baylor will ramp up the pace on both ends and come through in the end. In short, I expect massive spurts from both sides to push this game over the total.
The Pick: Over 146.5
Creighton -2.5 at Seton Hall (139.5)
Truly, Seton Hall has been the most impressive team in the country the last few weeks. They have won eight of nine games in some terrible spots. Although Creighton has been extremely up and down this year, they are a much different type of team than Hall has played recently.
Creighton is going to run and shoot at a rapid pace and I believe they will shut down Hall’s streak with an impressive road win.
