Underdog Fantasy NBA Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – December 26
Fred VanVleet – Higher than 19.5 Points
Okay, so his last two showings doesn’t exactly scream confidence in this projection. He has just ten points in each of his last two games. However, there’s plenty pointing to a positive turnaround here. I love that he’s getting a rest coming in. It also doesn’t hurt that he’ll be playing the Pacers, who have been terrible on defense. To round it all out, he has met this projection in three of the last five – making the last two outliers.
Cade Cunningham – Higher than 22.5 Points
Similar to VanVleet, Cunningham fell short of this projection in his last game – albeit by much less. Prior to that, he had blown these numbers out of the water. In his three games prior to the miss, he was averaging 32 points per game. That’s plenty to assume he tops the number here.
Kawhi Leonard – Lower than 27.5 Points
Leonard has taken back to back games off, which is likely good for his legs. However, I’m not sure that bodes well for him in a game that the Clippers will likely blow out. Should they get up early, there would be no reason to push him more than he’s ready and reduced minutes should make this projection unlikely.
