College Basketball Picks December 17th

Oregon vs Syracuse (+4.5) (O/U 147)

An early tip in Sioux Falls in this matchup between teams coming off a small string of wins. Oregon’s season is highlighted by a win against Michigan but headlined by injuries.

The Ducks front court has been without N’Faly Dante and Nate Bittle but the Orange don’t rebound particularly well. The Orange will have a size advantage here. They also don’t get to the line well either, but the Ducks have allowed their opponents to get to the free throw line. Something has got to give.

The line is a little lopsided in favor of the Orange. Backing the Ducks and their ability to score in multiple ways against Judah Mintz and the Orange. Mintz may be the best player on the floor but he will need help from his teammates in this one on the neutral court.

The Pick: Oregon -4.5

Seton Hall vs Missouri (-1.5) (O/U 139.5)

Seton Hall has one last chance to boost their non-conference resume in this matchup with the Tiger. The Pirates started strong, but the quality of competition ramped up after their 4-0 start, and Seton Hall is 2-4 since. The Pirates lost to USC, Iowa, Baylor, and Rutgers in that span, with their wins coming against Northeastern and Monmouth.

Shaheen Holloway will have his hands full, leading this Seton Hall squad into Kansas City to take on another unforgiving quality opponent. Missouri was able to turn over Kansas 16 times and never trailed to Wichita State.

The neutral site will still favor a Tigers crowd. Backing the battle-tested Missouri Tigers and their offensive upside to edge out the Seton Hall Pirates in what will be a nice win on Missouri’s resume.

The Pick: Missouri -1.5
