The day we have all been waiting for: Big Saturday of Hoops! A very bleak week of basketball is now over, and we have plenty of fun today to forget about it. We’ll take a look at the two games below. Let’s get to it. Here are the College Basketball Picks for December 16th.

College Basketball Picks December 16th
Georgia Tech (149.5) vs. Penn State -3.5
Penn State is coming off the biggest win in the Mike Rhoades era against Ohio State. They head to Madison Square Garden to take on a very beatable Georgia Tech team and should be feeling extremely confident. They have had a full week to prep/celebrate, which I imagine they did a lot of.
Georgia Tech is two weeks off their upset of Duke in which they caught the Devils fully sleepwalking. I believe if that game was played 10 times, Duke would have won nine of them. Penn State has had time to cool off, and they know this Georgia Tech team has what it takes to compete.
I am expecting these two to go at it from the jump, and we will see a very competitive game. I have this game with a total of 135 after running some numbers; therefore, we will play
The Pick: Under 149.5
Temple (137.5) at VCU -9.5
Temple heads down 95 to take on VCU in Richmond. Although both of these teams took a step back from last year, The Siegel Center is always a very tough place to play.
In terms of environment, this will be the toughest place this young Temple team will see thus far. VCU has already played seven home games this season and has faired well.
I expect them to settle in much faster than the visitors and take care of business at home. Lay the points with the Rams. They will get it done.
