It’s Friday, and the NHL boasts a six-game slate to get the degens a head start on their weekends. Thursday night’s NHL Underdog entry went just one out of three, but the season’s successful picks remain strong at 74%. Now, two days removed from back-to-back bangers, let’s try to keep the fire raging here on Friday night. So grab a couple of logs, and let’s feed the flames because there’s a banger to be cashed! Here are my three best NHL Underdog Fantasy Picks for December 15.
The Quick Pick: Daily NHL Underdog Fantasy Pick ’em Picks for December 15
Noah Dobson Higher Than 0.5 Assists
Don’t everybody look at once, but the New York Islanders have now won four games in a row. Friday night, they’ll be on home ice to take on the filthy animal Boston Bruins.
Islanders 23-year-old defenseman Noah Dobson has put together a stellar year with five goals and 24 assists. Now sporting a five-game point streak, Dobson has also logged eight assists in that same five-game stretch. Not to mention, Noah tallied an apple in Boston’s barn just a little over a month ago.
The stars are aligned for our first NHL Underdog entry, and they’re shaped like a juicy apple. Go ahead and press that Higher Than 0.5 Assists button for Noah Dobson on Friday night!
Roman Josi Higher Than 0.5 Points
The Nashville Predators are 5-2-0 in December, and their veteran defenseman Roman Josi is helping to lead the charge. With a total of six goals and 17 assists in 2023, Josi remains a pivotal cog within the Predators machine. Coming into Friday night’s matchup against the Hurricanes, Josi is on a mini two-game point streak.
He’s also logged six points across his last five and has four points in three games against Carolina since 2021. Our second NHL Underdog entry needs to hunt a point like Dutch Schaefer hunted Predator in the Central American rainforest. Let’s trust Roman Josi to go Higher Than 0.5 Points on Friday against Carolina.
Jack Eichel Higher Than 0.5 Assists
Our third NHL Underdog entry induces a great deal of internal rage to even write about. It couldn’t possibly be because the former Buffalo Sabre left town and then immediately won a Stanley Cup with Vegas. Hey, it’s Festivus season, so let me air my grievances here!
Joking aside, Eichel has tallied 33 points in 30 games in the 2023 season. Friday night, he’ll bring along an eight-game point streak against his former team. To further add to his superlatives, Eichel has tallied assists in seven of his eight games during his current point streak.
Knowing the kind of cocky Jack is, he’ll want to stick it to his former team in any and every way possible. So begrudgingly, let’s take Jack Eichel to go Higher Than 0.5 Assists against Buffalo because the need to cash an NHL Underdog banger outweighs the needs of us struggling Sabres fans.
