If you read yesterday’s article, I’m going back to the well doing the same thing today. Tulane hosts Furman in what should be a fun mid-major battle tonight. The Green Wave is a poor rebounding team. They rank 357th in offensive rebounding percentage and 309th in defensive rebounding percentage.
The lower than 6 Rebounds + Assists for Collin Holloway is 5-1-2 so far this season. Against other mid-majors, Holloway has had 6 Reb + Ast or more just once in the six matchups.
Kolby King (Tulane) Lower Than 7 Rebounds + Assists
The Paladins also hold their opponents to a country’s average assist rate of 50.2% assists per field goals made. Kolby King has recorded less than 7 Rebounds + Assists in six of Tulane’s eight games this season. King has finished lower than the projection in five of his six games played against mid-major teams.
Riley Kugel (Florida) Lower Than 14.5 Points
Florida is favored by 15.5 points over East Carolina in a neutral-site game tonight. I have the Gators covering, and personally, I don’t think it will be that close. East Carolina has faced the 348th strength of schedule, and their defense is 293rd in the nation per KenPom’s defensive efficiency.
My prediction is that Florida will build a large lead in the first 30 minutes of this game. If that happens, the Gators won’t need to play their starters much in the back half of the game against the Pirates. Riley Kugel is a big game player. Kugel averages 15.6 points in 32.4 minutes per game against high majors.
But against mid-majors, he averages just 11 points in 26.3 minutes per game. Kugel’s Lower Than 14.5 points is 6-3 on the season and 3-1 vs mid-major competition.
