This is the mega Saturday we have been looking forward to. Another profitable week for the SGPN College Basketball crew. Let’s continue as College Basketball headlines the Saturday for the first time this season. Here are the picks for Saturday December 9th.
College Basketball Picks December 9th
Kansas State at LSU (-2.5) (O/U 144.5)
Kansas State has to be exhausted from their stretch of games amid turmoil around the basketball program.
They won’t be entering friendly confines as this LSU team is well-rested. The Tigers have had over a week to prepare, while the Wildcats have played three straight overtime games. This will be Kansas State’s first true road game this season.

LSU will surely run the court on offense and force the Wildcats to take shots from deep with their length all around. Factor in how good the home-court advantage has become for the Tigers and the interior defense to complement their size, then this turns into a bad spot for the Wildcats pretty quickly. LSU is the favorite for good reason.
The Pick: LSU -2.5
Wisconsin at Arizona (-10) (O/U 145.5)
Wisconsin takes a six game win streak into Tuscon on Saturday to take on number-one-ranked Arizona. The Wildcats took over the top spot when Purdue dropped to Northwestern. The Wildcats come into the matchup with five different players averaging double-figure points.
Arizona hasn’t lost to a nonconference opponent in Tucson under Tommy Lloyd. Wisconsin has also never won in Tucson in their short history. Wisconsin’s six game winning streak has been impressive, and they’re settling in as the Badgers you may be used to. Slow pace, good rebounding, and tough defense.
Expect the Badgers to cut possessions down significantly than what the Wildcats are used to this season with their style of basketball. Looking to play the under as Wisconsin is the perfect team to cause some regression for this Arizona Wildcats team, specifically shooting beyond the arc.
The Play: Under 145.5
