College Basketball Picks December 2nd
Marquette -2.5 at Wisconsin (139.5)
Beautiful Mid-West college hoops matchup as #3 ranked Marquette heads to Madison to take on Wisconsin. This matchup faces off two teams who play different styles and it will come down to the team who controls the pace.
Though the Badgers are not on Virginia’s level of slow, they will look to beat you with a slow-paced style of basketball. The Wisconsin pack line will be tough to get by for this Marquette pick-and-roll offense, and I believe that is where the pace will be dictated. With the Kohl Center rocking, look for Wisconsin to get out the gates quickly. At the end of the day, I believe Wisconsin will dictate the pace of this matchup and keep points off the board. We will roll with the under here.
The Pick: Under 139.5
Memphis -2.5 at Ole Miss (141.5)
Two of my favorite teams in the nation meet up in Oxford. These two are both dark-horse Elite Eight teams, and this is a huge matchup early in the season. Schematically, they play at a very fast pace and will look to outscore each other early and often. I can truly see this becoming a track meet and one of those vintage 80-80 ball games that comes down to the wire. We will take another look at the total in this matchup.
I’m shocked to see two games with such variance in pace and similar totals. Just when you think you know what’s going down, the gambling gods take it to you! Let’s stick with our gut and keep the money flowing.
