To say we have hit a rut with our last couple of NHL Underdog entries would be an understatement. But The Quick Pick’s successful pick rate is still at 53% and there are positives to build off of. Thursday night provides Degens with a 14-game slate on the ice and plenty of opportunities to right the ship. Let’s get back to the drawing board and ask for just a little bit of help from the gambling gods. Here are my three best NHL Underdog Fantasy Picks for November 30.
The Quick Pick: Daily NHL Underdog Fantasy Pick ’em Picks for November 29
Jared McCann Higher Than 0.5 Points
The Kraken will skate into Toronto on Thursday night in search of their first win in their last three games. It hasn’t been for the ones who are trying, though, and McCann has been heating up in that same stretch. The Kraken center has tallied four points across his last four games and now sits at 14 points in 2023.
He also has a knack for logging points against Toronto, with four in four games over his last two seasons. So hold out your finger for Thursday night’s first NHL Underdog entry because we’re going to Jared. Take Jared McCann to go Higher Than 0.5 Points against the Maple Leafs.
JJ Peterka Higher Than 0.5 Points
The Buffalo sports teams are just an infuriating bunch to be a die-hard fan of. Although, there is a banner hanging where the Sabres play. Unfortunately, it’s for the Buffalo Bandits, the city’s professional lacrosse team. Thursday night, let’s focus on 21-year-old Sabres winger John-Jason Peterka.
He has tallied five points in his last five games and has found the net twice in that same span. The Sabres will face a tough test on the road against the Blues on Thursday. But the road has been rather kind to JJ, as he’s logged over half his season total on the road. So let’s trust the kid who can now legally buy beer. Take JJ Peterka Higher Than 0.5 Points.
Cale Makar Higher Than 1.5 Points (1.5X Odds)
Thursday night, the Avs will look to make it five straight wins as they take on the pesky Arizona Coyotes. Once again, we are going to key in on Colorado’s 25-year-old dynamite defenseman, Cale Makar. In 11 of his 21 games played in this season, Makar has tallied multi-point performances. He heads to the desert on Thursday, having tallied at least two points in six of his last eight games.
Sprinkle in the fact that Makar has notched nine points in eight games against Arizona across his last two seasons. Our third NHL Underdog entry has a little extra mustard on him at 1.5X Odds, but who doesn’t love mustard? Let’s go ahead and take Cale Makar Higher Than 1.5 Points in Arizona!
